Senior Graphics Designer

Anthology Marketing Group is seeking a highly creative and awe-inspiring Senior Graphics Designer for conceptualizing and design solutions and ensuring their completion; mediums include print, photography, branding, environmental, video and web/interactive. This individual ensures the development of concepts and design solutions meet a particular strategy or direction. The work collaboratively with internal teams and other creative talent to produce professional, high quality work appropriate for all audiences. This individual is responsible for creating and executing design concepts as well as maintaining visual appearance, usability and brand continuity.

This full time regular position, reporting to the VP- Creative Director

  • Develops, designs, and creates comprehensive brand systems based on brand strategies and concepts.
  • Gives guidance on creative assets needed across multiple media (print/collateral, interactive/web, outdoor/exhibit)
  • Provides direction and works collaboratively with vendor-partners to successfully develop and produce creative materials
  • Meets with account executives to discuss the client's requirements and core messages
  • Plans, coordinates, and participates in photo and video shoots
  • Collaborates with Creative Director in the creation of design
  • Participates in or leads creative production and implementation of the design expression to meet goals
  • Oversees the production phase
  • Maintains client contact and presents options to clients
  • Casts actors and models to appear in advertising elements
  • Keeps up to date with industry trends, techniques and standards.
  • Insures that work is accurate and meets agency standards before being reviewed by client and supplier.
  • Brainstorms ideas for new business and current clients' ad strategies.
  • Pitches concepts internally to creative director or the account team.
  • Assists in preparing pitch concepts for clients.

We are seeking a candidate that has

  • Knowledge and experience of signage and environmental design
  • Knowledge and experience with logo development
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of photography, typography and printing techniques
  • Knowledge and experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, QuarkXpress and other programs.
  • Possess highly creative and imaginative skills.
  • Possess excellent computer skills in relevant art and design software packages.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess good leadership, people and project management skills.
  • Ability to translate marketing strategy into persuasive layouts, logos and packaging.

The candidate needs:

Minimum:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, commercial art, illustration, design or related field.
    • High School diploma or equivalent and eight (8) years experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree and five year's experience.
  • Five (5) year's experience in a design studio, marketing and/or agency environment.
  • Possession of a professional portfolio demonstrating ability in different media.
  • Solid understanding and foundation of branding, design, color, and typography, and their applications.

    Senior Experience Designer

    Anthology Marketing Group is seeking a Senior level Experience Designer who will lead experience design (XD) efforts on digital projects and mentoring other designers. The Sr. XD will spearhead the creation and execution of design concepts, user interface design, visual design and front-end development. The XD will interact with clients to provide client recommendations based on consultation with the client.

    This full time regular position, reporting to the Director of Experience Design and/or the Associate Director of Experience Design

    • Leads and directs other XD team members on projects, with minimal supervision from the XD Director and/or other managers.
    • Creates estimates by developing the design strategy and defining requirements, specifications and assumptions.
    • Takes appropriate meeting notes and prepares associated documentation related to the successful design, development and implementation of projects.
    • Consults with clients and provides client recommendations in a professional manner.
    • Collaborates with team members and vendors to fulfill project goals on time, on budget, and on strategy.
    • Develops content and information architecture strategies.
    • Creates original, usable and sustainable design and interaction concepts, user interfaces, and visual designs.
    • Implements and maintains designs using appropriate front-end development techniques.
    • Demonstrates thought leadership on relevant issues and trends by written and/or oral presentation.
    • Demonstrates corporate leadership skills.
    • Participates in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new team members, freelance talent and other vendors.
    • Participates in business development and strategic planning activities for new and existing clients.
    • Participates in the training, development and peer reviews of other team members as needed.

  • Project experience leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of digital design best practices (and knowing when it is appropriate to break the rules), marketing strategies and branding.
  • Strong visual design skills as demonstrated via a portfolio of work.
  • Proficient with applications including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and OmniGraffle Pro.
  • Strong HTML/CSS proficiency and cross-browser, cross-platform testing skills.
  • Working knowledge of jQuery and JavaScript.
