Public Relations Senior Account Executive

Anthology Marketing Group is seeking a Public Relations Senior Account Executive to serve as a primary client contact and ensure a high-level of strategic thinking, productivity and efficiency is maintained on all assigned accounts. Performs all public relations functions including writing, media interaction and client liaison.

This full time regular position.

  • Oversees staff and maintains a high level of productivity and account service satisfaction in the public relations group.
  • Maintains and develops of agency's corporate culture, including operational efficiencies/best practices, professional development, student internship program, community service efforts, and other activities.
  • Develops and writes public relations plans and strategies and makes proactive recommendations to clients.
  • Prepares communication materials involved in the implementation of public relations programs for clients. Writes press releases, copy for newsletter articles, opinion editorials, and other media-related materials.
  • Assists team in crisis communications situations, as directed.
  • Participates in new business programs and maintains new business presentation for current use.
  • Maintains relationships with industry and editorial contacts to assure appropriate opportunities are realized for clients.
  • Manages and/or prepares content and layouts for publications, such as brochures, newsletters, and magazines as assigned.
  • Handles special projects, new business assignments, and social/ community involvement activities as assigned.
  • Stays abreast of client's industry and marketplace.
  • Communicates regularly with clients on status, work in progress reports and conference call reports.
  • Works with team to ensure daily print, television and online media coverage reports are produced. Clips or copies all client referenced and competitor and related industry news stories. Ensure reports are generated and sent immediately to client.
  • Provides direction and/or organizes photo and/or video shoots for publications, social media channels, presentations and other communications initiatives.

The candidate needs:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Journalism or Communications.
  • Four (4) years experience in public relations, marketing or communications in an agency setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Prezi.
  • Possess high degree of professionalism.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the public relations/marketing/communications field.
  • Possess quality business and media contacts locally and nationally.
  • Five (5) years experience in public relations, marketing or communications in an agency setting or managing a team.
  • Understanding of general business practices and procedures.
  • Experience leading a team.

Senior Experience Designer

The Senior Experience Designer is responsible for leading experience design (XD) efforts on digital projects and mentoring other designers. Primary duties include spearheading the creation and execution of design concepts, user interface design, visual design and front-end development.

This full time regular position, reporting to the Director of Experience Design

  • Lead and direct other XD team members on projects, with minimal supervision from the XD Director and/or other managers.
  • Create estimates by developing the design strategy and defining requirements, specifications and assumptions.
  • Take appropriate meeting notes and prepares associated documentation related to the successful design, development and implementation of projects.
  • Consults with clients and provides client recommendations in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors to fulfill project goals on time, on budget, and on strategy.
  • Develop content and information architecture strategies.
  • Create original, usable and sustainable design and interaction concepts, user interfaces, and visual designs.
  • Implement and maintain designs using appropriate front-end development techniques.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership on relevant issues and trends by written and/or oral presentation.
  • Demonstrate corporate leadership skills.
  • Participate in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new team members, freelance talent and other vendors.
  • Participate in business development and strategic planning activities for new and existing clients.
  • Participate in the training, development and peer reviews of other team members as needed.
  • Input daily timesheets.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

The candidate needs:

  • High school diploma.
  • Four (4) or more year's hands-on experience in multiple areas of digital design and development, specifically in the following areas: user experience design, user interface design, visual design, interaction design, front-end development, usability research.
  • Project experience leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of digital design best practices (and knowing when it is appropriate to break the rules), marketing strategies and branding.
  • Strong visual design skills as demonstrated via a portfolio of work. Proficient with applications including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and OmniGraffle Pro.
  • Strong HTML/CSS proficiency and cross-browser, cross-platform testing skills.
  • Working knowledge of jQuery and JavaScript.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends if needed.
